Our second day in Madrid, August 11th, was enriching due to the fact that we visited the city's best-known tourist attractions, and, furthermore, due to the impact it had on us in understanding the social differences that exist.

In the morning, while two of the group members visited the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, the remaining members walked around the stadium where we met several homeless people who touched us. Furthermore, we walked through the Mahatma Gandhi Garden.

We then took public transport to El Retiro Park, stopping for lunch before visiting the “100 Montaditos” restaurant.

At the end of the day we visited Plaza Mayor, Mercado San Miguel, Puerta del Sol and Kilometer 0, we also climbed to one of the highest points in the city to have a better view of the city.

Finally, we had dinner nearby and witnessed some of the nightlife in Madrid.
