Activity 3: Social Entrepreneurship Project
The Social Entrepreneurship activity in Spain is designed to empower young people with fewer opportunities to become social entrepreneurs and create positive social impact in their communities. Participants engage in a project-based learning experience where they identify a local community issue and develop innovative solutions through entrepreneurial approaches.
Activity 2: Sustainable Development
This activity focuses on environmental conservation and social responsibility. It aims to empower young people with fewer opportunities to become active agents of change in promoting sustainability. Participants will engage in interactive sessions, practical activities, and visits to sustainable initiatives to learn about sustainable practices and innovative solutions.
Activity 1: Leadership and Team Building
The Leadership and Team Building activity is designed to enhance the leadership skills, teamwork abilities, and personal development of young people with fewer opportunities. This retreat takes place in a natural environment and incorporates outdoor activities, team challenges, and reflective sessions to promote growth and resilience.
First Preparatory Meeting for the Empowering Youth for a United Europe Project
On May 2, the first preparatory meeting for the Empowering Youth for a United Europe Project, an initiative of DISCOVER EU, took place in the auditorium of the Terras do Ave Basic School. In this meeting, AETA, in partnership with YUPI, met for the first time with the selected young participants and their chaperones. This initial interaction served to introduce the young participants to the topics for which they were selected and to make them aware that these initiatives require proactivity in defining activities and itineraries. By the end of the meeting, the groups had already exchanged contacts and created groups so they could “get to work.”
Meeting of the Selection Committee for the Empowering Youth for a United Europe Project
On April 9, the Agrupamento de Escolas Terras do Ave organized a meeting of the Selection Committee for the International Exchange Project, Discover EU. During this meeting, representatives from the school group joined members of YUPI, Parent Associations, the Pedome Parish Council, the National Scout Corps of Pedome, and the Municipal Council to select the participants and chaperones for the activities of this initiative. The Selection Committee, led by the Agrupamento de Escolas Terras do Ave, worked together to carefully review the applications received and identify the most qualified chaperones and young people to represent the community in this international exchange project. This meeting was an important step in the selection process, aiming to ensure that the chosen participants have the motivation, experience, and skills necessary to make the most of this unique learning and discovery opportunity. The Agrupamento de Escolas Terras do Ave thanks everyone involved in this meeting and announces that the first preparatory meeting with the selected participants and chaperones will be scheduled soon.
Project “Empowering Youth for a United Europe” by AE Terras do Ave and YUPI Receives Approval from the Erasmus+ Program
Agrupamento Terras do Ave, in collaboration with YUPI (Youth Union of People with Initiative), is pleased to announce the approval of the project “Empowering Youth for a United Europe.” This is a project under the DiscoverEU Inclusion Action program, whose main objective is to provide a travel experience across Europe for former students of the school group, specifically young people aged 18. This pioneering initiative within the scope of Erasmus+ Youth/Sport and the European Solidarity Corps represents the commitment of Agrupamento Terras do Ave to contribute to the development of the community through the active involvement of young people. In addition to the aforementioned objectives, this project marks the beginning of a series of actions planned to promote community participation in the Erasmus+ program. Beyond the primary purpose mentioned above, the project aims for young people to: Agrupamento Terras do Ave hopes that the various actions carried out under the Erasmus+ program will significantly contribute to the growth and strengthening of the local community, promoting mutual understanding and building bridges between young people and the opportunities offered by Europe. Therefore, the approval of this project, in addition to being a source of great satisfaction, is just the beginning of a journey towards sustainable development and the promotion of community well-being.
